COPKIT’s fifth webinar: Data analysis and AI methods for situation assessment for Law Enforcement Analysts

We are delighted to announce that on 16 December 2020 at 11:00 AM CET (GMT+1), COPKIT will be having its fifth public webinar on “Data analysis and AI methods for situation assessment for Law Enforcement Analysts”.

The COPKIT project brings together law enforcement, industry and academia to create an intelligence and knowledge ecosystem for law enforcement agencies, in order to support prevention, investigation and mitigation in the context of the fight against organised crime and terrorist organisations.

Assessing the situation is a key activity in the analysis cycle of law enforcement analysts. In this webinar, we will present a number of data analysis methods, information fusion and AI techniques that can support the analyst by providing assessment of information pieces and of risks and threats. We will show with methodology prototype and tools how it can be applied for monitoring and assessment threats in open data. We will demonstrate the tool as applied for DDOS Attack (Crime-as-a-Service) threats identification based on conversations in a communication stream. We will show how AI and information fusion methods can be used to help the analysts deal with the volume of possibly suspicious activities occurring on dark net markets and present possible applications for strategic analysts for regional threat assessments.

This is the fifth of a series of webinars organised by COPKIT for Law Enforcement Agencies and other relevant project stakeholders. It is free and open to everyone.
