COPKIT is delighted to participate as co-organiser in the Mediterranean Security Event (MSE 2019), which is organised by our partner KEMEA and will take place in Fodele, Crete (Greece) on 29-31 October 2019.
This event is a joint initiative of more than twenty EU funded R&D projects, whose ultimate goal is to bring together all the strategic players of security and civil protection in the EU, encourage interaction, synergy and collaboration among stakeholders and foster the development of solutions that can be implemented across Europe and beyond.
During MSE2019 several sessions, panels and stimulating forums will gather people from across the EU representing the Security Stakeholders community. As a co-organiser of the event, COPKIT will have the opportunity to present their solutions to Law Enforcement Agencies, security experts, scientists, practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
In order to scientifically contribute to the MSE2019 conference, COPKIT will also be participating in the Call for papers by submitting a paper on the project’s approach and the problem of analysing, preventing, investigating and mitigating the use of new information and communication technologies by organised crime and terrorist groups. Selected papers will be published in the Special Issue “Technology Advances and Support for Security Practitioners” of the “Security Informatics and Law Enforcement”.
The MSE 2019 agenda covers all critical topics of the European Security Agenda including Protection of Critical Infrastructures, Disasters and Crises Management, Societal Resilience enhancement, security of the EU External Borders, the fight against organized Crime and Terrorism, security of Digital Systems and IoT as well as the raising challenges of Cybersecurity.
The three days of the event include outstanding keynote speakers, specialized scientific presentations, focused workshops on security issues, an exhibition area for presenting R&D projects and a series of live demos.
